An armed response officer from Fidelity ADT helped in the arrests of four suspects across Bothasig and Richwood, in less than 24 hours. “Andre Rauch responded to a call for assistance from the SAPS, who were investigating suspicious behaviour at the Bothasig Mall. He assisted the police in locating and apprehending three alleged card scammers,” says Verena Hulme, Cape Town North district manager at Fidelity ADT.
The same officer was again called into action, when he saw a social media report (the next day) of a bike being stolen from a filling station in Richwood. “He was able to track down the allegedly stolen bike and the suspect. This suspect, along with the three alleged mall suspects, were all taken into custody by Bothasig SAPS,” says Hulme.
