Two alleged trespassers were removed from a residential complex in Welgemoed, just minutes after they were spotted by cameras in the area (around 02h50, Friday 13 August 2021).
“Security cameras monitored by Welgemoed Safe picked up the two men running into the complex along Sturke Street. Armed response officers in the area were alerted to respond,” explains Verena Hulme, Cape Town North district manager at Fidelity ADT.
At least four armed response officers arrived at the complex, and they managed to locate the two alleged trespassers where they were hiding and hand them over to Bellville SAPS.
“The police took the suspects away for questioning. Well done to the Welgemoed Safe team and our officers for responding so quickly, before the suspects could do any harm,” says Hulme.
