Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the risks associated with the virus, Hillcrest Aids Centre (HAC) recently received assistance from the Fidelity Services Group, who provided a complete sanitisation of their facilities.
“We have strong relationships with various community organisations throughout the Durban area and were recently approached by their team for assistance,” explains Fidelity ADT’s District Manager for KwaZulu-Natal, Vaughan Pillay.
HAC is one of the first NGO’s in South Africa to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic and remains dedicated to making a significant and meaningful impact in the lives of people impacted by the disease.
“We knew that sanitisation would be critical for them during this time and were very happy to be able to assist. The Fidelity Services Group offers sanitisation services through our Fidelity Cleaning Services entity and we at Fidelity ADT opted for a collaborative effort with them to assist,” said Pillay.
A thorough sanitisation of all the touch points within the premises was conducted by the Fidelity Cleaning Services team who were also supported by members of the Fidelity ADT team.
Pillay added that they will continue to support community institutions through various security collaborations during the lockdown period. “Our armed response team will continue to conduct regular patrols, share information and find solutions to crime concerns faced within the area. In addition, and in line with regulations to control and prevent the spread of the coronavirus we have provided all our staff with the necessary PPE equipment to ensure the safety of both our employees and customers at all times.”
