• Secure your home: Ensure all systems—especially outdoor beams, electric fencing, and CCTV—are fully functional and activated
• Keep gates closed: Avoid leaving gates open while waiting for guests. This creates an easy access point for intruders
• Carry a panic button: Keep it on your person at all times. A silent panic can save lives in an emergency
• Manage guest parking: Have guests park inside your property if possible. If they must park outside, a visible security presence can deter crime
• Install proper lighting: Exterior lighting, especially motion-sensor lights, is a simple yet effective crime deterrent
• Request extra patrols: Ask your security provider to conduct additional patrols in your area during your event. The visible presence of an armed response vehicle is highly effective.
