An important crime prevention and public safety contract for Hermanus has recently been renewed. Hermanus Public Protection (HPP), the Hermanus Special Rating Area (HSRA) management body, has renewed its outsourcing contract with Fidelity ADT.
The outsourcing agreement with Fidelity ADT was for an initial two-year period, explains the company’s Hermanus branch manager Marius Boshoff. “We are honoured that HPP has decided to renew this contact for another two and a half years.”
The new agreement came into effect on 1 November 2022. The service in terms of the renewed contract will continue the previous provision of 24/7 CCTV Surveillance, foot patrollers along the coastal path and CBD and 24-hour specialised response unit vehicles. In addition, a bike patrol and CBD night guards has been introduced to enhance safety in the public spaces of Hermanus.
“HPP chose to extend this agreement with Fidelity ADT as they continue to prove to be competent and flexible at delivering the complex task of enhancing public safety. They do so by providing well trained skilful Patrol Officers and accomplished CCTV Controllers within the HSRA defined budget“ said Jerry van Niekerk, Chair of HPP.
“We look forward to continuing our long relationship with the people of Hermanus and we thank HPP for putting their faith in us again,” says Boshoff.
